No imprint (Kenosha, Wisconsin, Samuel Lowe Company), (1942).. Circa 1942, miniature book, 71 x 54 mm, 2¾ x 2¼ inches, thin card covers with large extra coloured illustrations by Voigt, different on upper and lower covers, on the upper cover Sambo's mother stitches his sleeve, 10 pages including insides of covers. 6 large coloured illustrations by Margot Voigt. Sambo is a sweet little African toddler in these images. 2 minute rust marks to lower cover, slightest rub to spine. Otherwise a Fine copy of an uncommon miniature version of this story. Apparently S. Lowe published multiple versions of this title from 1940. Voigt's first version for this publisher was published as a shaped book circa 1941.
