This is a general introduction to chess openings. It includes discussion on the queen's gambit both accepted and refused as well as other gambits, king pawn openings the ideas behind the openings. It is an interesting work on how early players of the period looked at the opening.
Condition:
Old label to spine, corners bumped and rubbed, some internal soiling and fingering with an occasional pencil notation else a good to very good copy.
