London, Smith Elder & Co., 1906. Hardback, approx 9 x 6 inches. Green cloth with gilt lettering to spine. In very good condition. Some rubbing to corners of cloth, a couple of small nicks to ends of spine. Some minor handling marks to cloth. Some minor darkening to endpapers, bookplate to front “Presented to the Royal Geographical Society by the publishers. 14/5/06.” Minor crack between endpapers. Stamps to rear of title plates “Royal Geographical Society.” Some occasional small spots to page edges, one small ink spot to edge of pages around p290. Else a very good clean and tight copy. xvii + 341pp. 93 B&W illustrations, 70 full-page plates, and a fold out coloured map at back.
