About This Item

New York: Lodestar Books/Dutton, 1993. Very good (some light foxing on top page edges, otherwise fine) copy of a beautiful children's book, in fine dust jacket. It's the story of the young son in a Jewish family in the 1920s whose grandfather takes him to a violin concert, whereupon the son decides to become a violinist--this is the week after he wanted to be a fireman. A lovely story. INSCRIBED ("To Julie, Yours in harmony") and SIGNED by the author on title page. . Signed by Author. 1st Edition. Hard Cover. Illus. by Beth Peck.
