This is a first printing of the Marie Angel-illustrated edition, with a complete number line on the verso of the title page. The interior of the book is clean and fresh, with just a few signs of previous use. The illustrated covers are bright, with minor wear at tips and corners. The dust jacket is price-clipped, and shows light wear, rubs and a darkened spine, but no chips or tears. The dust jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: This story " later, in a slightly different form, became Chapter1 of "The Fairy Caravan." It is about a guinea-pig who was a 'miserable object because most of his hair had been pulled out.'
