New York: Doubleday & Company. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1961. Hardcover. SIGNED and inscribed by the author on the title page. John Chapman (1874-1979) was a drama critic for the New York Daily News from about 1930 to 1950 and was widely read during his career. This is a limited leather edition his his history: Black leather spine and corner tips over green cloth covers; gilt spine lettering and top edge also gilt. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no internal or external markings; appears to have been unread.; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 288 pages; Signed by Author .
