About This Item
Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1930. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A copy of the poet's masterwork, dated 1930, in near fine condition with a very good dustwrapper. Identified on the wrapper as "Second Edition with the Author's final corrections". Tipped on to ffep is an als to "Lord Russell" (Bertrand Russell) from Chilswell Oxford dated October1 to which has been added the year "1928". The letter thanks Russell for his criticisms stating that he has "ample material to work on" and referring to the word "Helliotrope". A tipped in printed note at the rear, from the publisher, states that the poem makes use of the author's simplified spelling which the printer was required to follow.
