Paris: Paul Dupont, 1892. Book. Fair. Paperback. First Edition. 4to. From the library of the great botanist W. T. Stearn with his signature to the front cover dated 1932. Pp. 161 + errata; 8 engraved plates. Original paper wrappers. The paperback binding has failed with chipping to the spine covering, many pages loose, held in a brown paper folder. Pages browned, some chipping at edges., plates good. A fair only copy in need of some restoration, but nevertheless a rare and important work. [Stafleu 26,477] [Prof. William Stearn "doyen of British botanists" who wrote c. 500 papers and books, including the classic "Botanical Latin". He was an authority on Linnaeus and an expert on botanical illustration.].
