About This Item
London: Ward Lock, 1949. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. XMAS 1953 in small capital letters on the FFEP and two un-necessary labels on the title page (that say novel by Nigel Tranter) otherwise a fine copy in a near fine D/W with a couple of tiny chips at the base of the spine not affecting any lettering. Overall a lovely copy of the first Nye Tredgold western and exceedingly uncommon. Nigel Tranter (1909-2000) was a Scottish historian and author, and writing under the pseudonym Nye Tredgold (Tredgold was his fathers middle name) produced some Westerns to provide additional income. Thirsty Range was his first Western
