DJ has shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (DJ is chipped and worn to the extremities). Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. First-hand account of Czech adventurer, traveller, writer and Eskimo chief of New Siberia Jan Welzl (1868 - 1948) , also known by the pseudonym Eskymo Welzl and the nickname Arctic Bismarck. Some argue the work to be a hoax, and is a parody of travel/adventure literature by written by Czech satirist Karel Capek (1890 - 1938) , author of the Forward to foreign editions. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
