About This Item

London: Dalton Watson, Ltd.. Near Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket. 1973. Fourth Edition. Hardcover. 0901564087 . This fascinating book covers the period from 1907 to 1937 and focuses on the 55 coach builders who supplied bodies for the Rolls-Royce automobile. Each coach builder has an introductory essay follored by pages b&w photos, 3 per page, of examples of their work. All photos are captioned with year, body style, and often the person for whom the body was built and the present owner. This is book is considered to be the authority on this subject. First published in 1967, a revised edition was released in 1970--this copy has the revisions the author thought were important. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The dust jacket is price clipped and has one short, closed tear to the top edge, else it is in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings.; B&W Photographs; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 319 pages .
