About This Item
Richmond, Surrey: Curzon Press, 1998. Very slight creasing to top edge of unclipped dustwrapper, top edge of pages slightly grubby, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Abridged translations of three autobiographies written by two Tibetans (Phung-tsogs Lung-rtogs, a Buddhist scribe and tutor; and Skar-ma Sun-dhon Paul, an interpreter and later a lecturer in Tibetan at Calcutta) and a Chinese (T'san-chih Chen, an official working for the Imperial Chinese government). These all mostly deal with the late nineteenth-early twentieth centuries. 223pp, 33 b&w illustrations, 2maps.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
