New York: Knopf, 1996. First edition, limited issue. One of 1500 unnumbered copies of just the title story from THE NIGHT IN QUESTION, issued in advance of the book of short stories of the same name. SIGNED BY WOLFF on tipped-in sheet preceding title page; copyright page with printed notice that this limited issue is "NOT FOR SALE." Gray cloth spine over light-gray boards, lettered and with design stamped in silver. In wrap-around "dust jacket" (without flaps) similar to that of the eventual trade issue, sealed at back with silver label which is still intact. Fine in fine dust jacket.
