London: Cyhoeddir Gan Y Gymdeithas. Published By the Cymmrodorion Society. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 2001. First Edition. Paperback. In the original publisher's card covers. Near 'As New' - just a few light smudges/creases to the covers - negligible. Internally - NO INSCRIPTIONS OR MARKS. Published annually from 1893 (Vol. I) the transactions each contain various historical, scientific, art, literary and other essays and reviews - all Welsh related in some form. The publication also includes society notes/info. Some Essays in WELSH, but most in ENGLISH. Many of the articles in Welsh in these journals have a 'Summary' of the essay in English at the end - but not all. 208 pp. A few b/w illustrations. Articles include: - 'Tenth Century Wales and Armes Prydein' by Helen Fulton; 'John Dee's Additions to William Salesbury's Dictionary'; 'John Evans, Bishop of Bangor (1746- 1794) ' by E. D. Evans; 'Llafur A'r Diwylliant Cymreig, 1900-2001' gan Deian Hopkin; 'Thomas Picton and Sir Thomas Picton: Two Welsh Soldiers in Spain' by Robert Havard; and circa 6 other articles, etc... At the time of listing I have a part run of 13 issues, from 'Transactions of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion. 2000. New Series 7 (2001) ' to 'New Series 19 (2013) ' - 13 issues in all. Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. All items posted by Airmail Overseas or by Standard (Second class post) in the UK unless requested otherwise. We will post abroad by whatever method you request but the standard is by Airmail.
