Handsome light brown leather volume with four raised bands and gilt decoration on spine. Minor scuffing at edges and corners. Originally published by W. Lawrence in 1833, this New Edition was edited by Dr. Isaac Hays. This book belonged to Dr. Charles E. Hatheway of Saint John, NB., whose name is in the front with a date of March, 1855. This book is large and heavy and will require extra postage. 948 pp. plus 32-page catalogue of the publisher's science and medical books..
