New York: Baker, Voorhis & Co., 1889. xxx, 884 pp. Octavo (9-1/4" x 6-1/4"). Contemporary sheep, blind rules to boards, raised bands, blind filets and red and black lettering pieces to spine, blind tooling to board edges. A few tiny smudges to boards and spine, light rubbing to extremities, small nick near foot of spine, minor wear to corners. Light toning to text, offsetting to margins of endleaves, crack in text block between title page and following leaf. An attractive copy. $250. * First edition, later printing. "Recent changes in procedure accompanying or resulting from the code practice, have had far-reaching consequences in respect to the mode of dealing with the subject of evidence" (Preface).
