The 77 pages remain in excellent condition throughout with no inscriptions. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY GEORGE MELLY TO THE TITLE PAGE with no further inscriptions. All corners remain sharp and book sits solid and square. A discussion of naive British Artists through the ages including the works of Alfred Wallis, Scottie Wilson, Cleveland Brown, James Lloyd and James Dixon. Other important artists and their influence are also included in this interesting book. An abundance of both colour and black and white plates support the excellent text. The book measures 25cm tall x 19cm wide. A nice example of a scarce title by the late author whose knowledge of all kinds of art was surprisingly broad and learned ! A presentable gift quality book.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. FIRST EDITION.
