The first edition of this celebrated collection of poems from American novelist and poet Elinor Wylie.Signed to the colophon, this is one of 100 copies printed on Van Gelder paper. This, however, appears to be a lettered copy, being labelled 'P. 8' in Wylie's hand.Published shortly before Wylie's death, this work was praised by her biographer as 'the work of a poet in transition. At times the craftsman is uppermost; at times the creative genius'. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Back strip lightly age toned, with small bump to back strip head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good Indeed
