Paris: Calmann Lévy, 1897. First edition. Illustrated with compositions by Guillaume Dubufe: 9 etchings (including 1 front. and 3 hors-texte). Limited edition, first copy on japon impérial (no. 34/50), accompanied by a suite avant la lettre of engravings on the same paper. (So the plates are all present in two states - a total of 18 engravings). Bound in 3/4 brown morocco, signed E. Carayon, smooth spine, gilt title, pages untrimmed, covers and corners very slightly bumped. There is a slight whitening to some areas of the brown leather. Attractive triangular ex libris to the inside of the front board. Still, overall a beautiful copy. 56 pp plus additional plates. 300 x 210 mm (11¾ x 8¼ inches). . Illustré de compositions de Guillaume Dubufe : 9 eaux-fortes (dont 1 frontispice et 3 hors-texte). Édition limitée, premier exemplaire sur japon impérial (n° 34/50), accompagné d'une suite avant la lettre de gravures sur le même papier. (Les planches sont donc toutes présentes en deux états - soit un total de 18 gravures). Reliure en maroquin brun 3/4, signée E. Carayon, dos lisse, titre doré, pages non rognées, couvertures et coins très légèrement heurtés. Il y a un léger blanchiment à certains endroits du cuir brun. Un joli ex libris triangulaire se trouve à l'intérieur de la première planche. Dans l'ensemble, il s'agit d'un bel exemplaire. 56 pages plus des planches supplémentaires. 300 x 210 mm
