One of his books was 'Metropolitan Improvements' – a work describing various architectural feats around London and its environs. In it, Shepherd describes houses and royal halls, churches and cathedrals, prisons and hospitals, streets, bridges, and much more. This 1827 first edition includes 66 impressive full-page engravings of iconic London sights.
