About This Item

Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico: Artist, 2019. First printing. 6.5 x 10 inches (single panel), 39.5 x 10 inches (unfolded). Folded accordion, in sewn paper envelope. Edition of seventy signed and dated copies. New.

The second silkscreened artist’s book by Bayrol Jimenez, immensely talented co-proprietor of the gallery La Garrapata de la Oveja in Oaxaca, Mexico, featuring many layers of imagery printed in half a dozen colors. Each six-panel side constitutes a single frieze or mural on paper, and each copy of the book is housed in a unique envelope with an original drawing in Japanese ink (see last photos).
