Good +. 371pp. Small quarto [24 cm] Green cloth with gilt stamped titles and elaborate gilt and ink stamped natural and floral vignettes on the spine and front cover. Top edge gilt. Illustrated endsheets. There is a small abraded patch on the spine. The front hinge is a little soft, and there is a brief notation in pen on the front pastedown. The text block is cracked at p. 221. This is the fourth volume in the "See America First" series. "From the Historic and scenic standpoints, Utah has no apologies to offer to any of the sisterhood of western states. While her modern history begins later than that of New Mexico and Arizona, it is equally, in not even more dramatic and moves with a swift intensity that is powerfully thrilling." (Foreword).
