Certainly Sienkiewicz's most well-known novel today, due no doubt to the cinematic versions.This is a Very Good copy of the Second Printing of the First Edition (often confused with the first issue of 1896, due to their uniform bindings and a failure to look at the copyright page). Olive green cloth binding with a blindstamped Emperor Nero on the front cover; gilt-filled, as is his due. Clean text; 541 pages with four pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. Mild shelf-soiling and bumping. No dustjacket. . Second Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
