Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as stated on copyright page, this novel begins on Christmas Eve, 1777 at Valley Forge, it includes end-paper illustrations and a vignette on the title page, the book is in excellent condition, a tiny amount of edge-wear at the corners and spine-ends is the only remarkable flaw, the jacket is price-clipped and has several edge-chips and 2 inches of edge-loss at bottom spine, the jacket is clean and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included .
