After the American Civil War, a pair of mercenaries travel with a wealthy countess to the harbor at Vera Cruz, promising to protect a large shipment of gold she has been tasked with bringing to Emperor Maximilian. A Spaghetti Western antecedent, and one of the first Hollywood films to be shot entirely on location in Mexico.
Shot entirely on location in Morelos, Texcoco, and Distrito Federal, Mexico.
Blue titled wrappers. Title page present, undated. 106 leaves, with last page of text numbered 104. Mimeograph duplication on blue stock, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good, with a dampstain on the front wrapper fore-edge, bound with two gold brads. Housed in a custom brown quarter-leather clamshell box.
