About This Item
This is a beautiful, "special illustrated edition" of The Da Vinci Code in near fine condition. The only flaw is that there is a slit of about 3 inches long on the back of the dust jacket, which lightly slit the back cover of the book as well (see pictures 7, 8 and 9). (This was probably done when they unboxed the new books at Borders and they cut too deep through the cardboard packing with a utility knife. I did not notice the slit until I ran my fingers over the back of the dust jacket and felt it.) Please see eleven pictures.
Synopsis
The Da Vinci Code is a 2003 mystery-detective fiction novel written by American author Dan Brown. It follows symbologist Robert Langdon as he investigates a murder in Paris's Louvre Museum and discovers a battle between the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei over the possibility of Jesus Christ of Nazareth having been married to and fathering a child with Mary Magdalene.
Reviews
This is a fast-paced, brilliant book...and extremely enjoyable. This book is a perfect gift for anyone...whether a beach read for a lady, or a long flight read for a man. You cannot go wrong with this book. Abbey Rheinhartt.
It is actually a real thriller dragging the reader into the world that Brown created. Astonishing. Also, you don't need any literary or any academic dowry to understand this work of art. You will envy the luck of Robert Langdon.
