This is a signed/inscribed first edition copy of "IN VINO VERITAS - A Book About Wine" by Andre L. Simon. 1913 1st edition; Grant Richards Ltd.; London. This copy features a signature/inscription by Simon on the front end paper, as follows: "Homage amical de l'author a Yvonne Salmon - Andre L. Simon 10.3.22" ("Friendly tribute from the author to Yvonne Salmon"). The contents are as follows: The Wine Trade of England; The Vineyards of the World; The Vine and its Fruit; The Art of Wine-Making; The Art of Distillation; Alcohol and the Human Body.
Condition:
There is some very light soiling at the bottom-right corner of the front cover; clean back cover and spine. Bright gilt on the front cover and spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The text pages are mostly clean with only occasional mild foxing; heavier foxing to the end papers. Two of the end papers are tanned. Signed/inscribed by the author in ink on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
