About This Item

London: Harvill, 1994. The first British edition of this late novel by the author of "Life, -- A User's Manual". Notable in that in this 283 pp. book - the author does not use the letter "e" at all. Hence "a void". Unfortunately previous owner's long but neat inscription to front endpaper. Tight, clean copy.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good ++/Near Fine.

Synopsis

A Void (translated from the original French La Disparition is a 300-page French lipogrammatic novel, written in 1969 by Georges Perec, entirely without using the letter e, following Oulipo constraints.
