Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 1932. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good+. 8vo. [10], 13-359, [1] pp. Orange cloth with decorations and lettering in black on the front board and spine. Price of $2.50 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Frontispiece with one fold-out diagram of the Osage Agency's Residence and eight additional full-page illustrations. Illustrated by May Todd Aaron. Hand M241. Rader 2366. A nice copy of a history of the Osage people written by a member of the Osage tribe. Mathews clearly captures the attitudes and experiences of the Osage people and their lives on the reservation. A Very Good book with one corner rubbed and a tiny dampstain to the bottom textblock; dust jacket is Good or better, price-clipped, with moderate chipping and edge wear.
