Number seventy-four of two hundred copies produced, signed by the author.A captivating fantasy novel following the reoccurring protagonist 'Kai Lung', as he recites numerous tales regarding ancient China. The books in the Kai Lung series usually revolve around the telling of many short stories, with this work relaying nine tales.This novel was first published in 1900.Ernest Bramah was an English author whose work spanned many genres including humour, science fiction and crime. His novel, 'What Might Have Been', was a major influence for George Orwell's classic, 'Nineteen Eighty-Four'. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding, with paper covered boards. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with spotting and discolouration to cloth. Boards age toned to perimeters. Tail of front joint a touch strained. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with spotting throughout. Very Good
