About This Item
New York: Random House, 1939. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. The interior of the book is clean and complete. A former owner has crossed out his name on the front free end paper, and there is a small bookseller's stamp, but no other marks. The half page illustration of Monstro is present. The blue cloth spine shows edge wear and rubs, but the yellow ink lettering is in good condition. The illustrated covers are clean and bright, with wear and rubs at edges and corners. Sadly, the dust jacket is in poor condition. showing heavy wear, large chips of missing paper, and folding. The area of the front flap where the original price would have been has been clipped out. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. The attached scans should give a better idea of condition, but look carefully as this jacket looks better as a scan than it does in person. Additional scans are available on request.
