Illustrated with thirty-six b&w photographs of landscape and planes; sketch of Heydemarck as frontispiece, with other sketches as chapter headers; folding map of air routes, rail and harbours, following the text. Blue cloth, slightly skewed, black lettering on front bd. and spine; several personal signatures and stamp on front endpaper. Some soiling to the binding and fading to the spine. Light foxing to the endpapers and edges of the text. The memoirs of a German fighter pilot flying the Balkans during the First World War, taken from his flight logs. Good/No Jacket.
