London: The Gogmagog Press, 1967. Limited edition (16/65). Signed by Morris Cox. Hardback. Unpaginated. Twenty six leaves joined at the fore-edges. Set in Cloister Old Style and printed on damped Barcham Green Dover Castle hand-made paper supplied with Japanese endpapers, by T. N. Lawrence & Son Ltd, London. Ten reverse-offset linocuts printed in black on coloured backgrounds printed from the offset sheet. Press mark in grey-green. Natural felt boards, printed with a flame pattern in orange on front & back, and in orange with black title on the spine. Japanese endpapers with greenish-brown stripes. Slipcase covered in matching paper with silk draw ribbon. A nightmare allegory of war, love, birth and death. Form and colour are intrinsic to the dream. A hugely creative work from every perspective. Book near fine with a very good slipcase.
