Opened once. GIFT QUALITY. Coated stock. Side stapled. Front cover is blue with full colour photo of 747, back cover has two photos and colour seating diagram. Covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, two or three 1/4 inch or less horizontal light creases at spine, on back cover two seat choices are marked in small ink, i.e. 35i, 36i and the words no smoking in small ink letters, a few very faint short marks on front cover, miniscule edge wear. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, bright, flat. On page 8 there are the words no smoking in small ink letters beside the designation for Cabin D. In English, French and German. Nice vintage colour photos throughout showing meals on trolleys, actual meals not the peanuts you get nowadays. Also cabin photos, how to use your tray and arm rest controls, a lovely two page cutaway drawing of the jet, photos of the upper lounge and staircase, Some 747 Statistics. Some nostalgic sentences are: “Your Pursers and Stewardesses take pleasure in serving you meals and drinks and are always ready to supply you, just for the asking, with Magazines, Blankets, Newspapers, Pillows, Young People’s Books, Packs of Cards, Toys and Games, Route Maps, Bridge Score Pads, Cribbage Boards, Stationery”, and “Once more you may hear a thunk - the undercarriage wheels, locking DOWN this time. After landing there’ll be a sudden loud noise from the engines. The captain is using them as brakes, putting them in reverse to slow the 747 down to turn off the runway and taxi to the airport terminal.”
