Rare first catalogue from Higgins's Something Else Press, with a signed note from the publisher of Fluxus artists and concrete poetry: "the sort of avant-garde work which offers a real alternative to the conventional art forms." This first catalogue advertises work by Robert Filliou, Philip Corner, Alison Knowles, Benjamin Patterson, Tomas Schmit, Al Hansen, Dick Higgins, Ray Johnson, and Daniel Spoerri, preceded by the titular essay on book design, production, and quality. 7'' x 5.5''. Original saddle-stapled printed wrappers. 7, [7] pages. Illustrated with black and white photographs by Peter Moore. Typed letter from Higgins to Charles Caramello at the Center for 20th Century Studies laid in, dated 1977: "Dear Chuck: I came across a copy of the old SEP catalog to which you had found a reference, and thought you might like to add it to the Caramello Collection." Letter signed by Higgins in pen. Wrappers sunned. Minor edgewear.
