About This Item

Salt Lake City, UT The Utah Wilderness Coalition, 1990. Hardcover Limited Edition (500 Copies, of which this is #140). SIGNED BY WALLACE STEGNER AND WAYNE OWENS on the front free endpaper. Limited Edition (500 Copies, of which this is #140). Very Near Fine in Near Fine DJ: The Book is near flawless, but the binding leans ever so slightly, while remaining perfectly secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing only a single flaw. Bright and Clean. Virtually 'As New'. The DJ shows the mildest rubbing; very light wear to the extremities; a couple of very small, quite superficial scuffs to the front panel; the pinkish-toned background field of the backstrip is moderately sunned (the white and black titles thereon remain unaffected: bold and clearly legible); unclipped. Close to 'As New'. The seldom-seen beige, cloth-covered slipcase is in Near Fine condition, with a tiny spot of coffee-toned stain at the front panel a small smudge at the bottom of the same and a tiny split in the fabric at the top edge at the closed corner of the case. Very close to "As New". NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library.Folio (12.8 x 9.6 x 1.5 inches). 400 pages + Ten-page section of color photographic plates at the front endpapers and profusely illustrated with duotone photographs, tables, and maps throughout. Introduction by Wallace Stegner. Foreward by Wayne Owens. Language: English. Weight: 4 pounds, 13.6 ounces. Distributed by Gibbs Smith. Hardback with DJ in Slipcase. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.
