Spine darkened and rubbed, very slight chipping and wear to head and tail of spine, slight wear to upper hinge, top edges dusty, front inner paper hinge partly split and neatly reglued, neat pencil name on front pastedown. A good tight copy. The book covers early English vineyards, short chapters on a wide variety of European wines, madeira, Champagne, wines of Australia, wine as remedy, adulteration, wine drinking, vintage 1851-1858, port, sherry, tokay, medoc.
