New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1952. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Very Good in a Very Good jacket, unclipped ($3.00), lightly soiled, a few chips at the corners. Yellow buckram, a few small stains, with brown ink lettering on the spine. Firmly bound with toned pages and a forward lean. O'Connor's debut novel that started as her Master's thesis at the Iowa Writer's Workshop. A classic of the Southern Gothic genre and later adapted into a classic film directed by John Huston.
