The first 213 pages is The Wit and Wisdom of Jesus followed by an additional 30 pages on Carlyle and Emerson-A Contrast. George Wright Buckley was an American clergyman born on May 26, 1850. There is an inscription on the front page to the previous owner from "Barbara Buckley Waite, The author's Granddaughter, March 19, 1952." This is a 1st edition copyright in 1901 and printed by The James H. West Company but this 2nd printing was done by Ellis Publishing Company.
