First published in six volumes between 1923 and 1931, this work is a justification of the author's role during the Great War, when he served as First Lord of the Admiralty. He had been heavily criticised for the part he played during the Defence of Antwerp, the Dardanelles campaign and the invention in Russia.Complete in two volumes, with the author's signature blind stamped to the front boards.A new edition, illustrated with maps and diagrams. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with some slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
