About This Item

London: Faber & Faber. Near Fine in Very Good- dust jacket. 1956. 1st Combined Edition Thus; First Printing. Hardcover. FINE brown cloth-coverd boards, with the spine very brightly lettered in white. Very clean and sharp-cornered, having been protected by the dust-jacket, which is the original publisher's lettered/decorated pink, lettered black, dust-jacket. A Near Fine, bright, clean copy in a near VG dust-jacket. The base colour to the spine of the d/j is lightly sunned, but all titling is deep and clear. The d/j is price-clipped, but is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Very Good. Internally, apart from some brown 'offsetting' to the free endpapers front and back, the book is FINE - NO Inscriptions or marks. Very Clean, tight and bright. 183 pp. The First Faber Combined Edition, comprising the 2 complete books - 'As It Was' (1926) and 'World Without End' (1931). "Helen Thomas tells her moving story of love, courtship and marriage to the poet Edward Thomas, killed at Arras in 1917." . A Lovely copy. Scarce in a dust-jacket. See Images. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
