Hodder & Stoughton Ltd., London, 1948, hardback with dust wrapper GD/gd, boards dark blue/gold, colour frontispiece and illustrated title page in addition to twelve green two-tone drawings, 192 pp. Boards edge worn, grubby, no inscription or annotations, sound tight binding, pages clean, lightly tanned, edges of text block foxed, spots and stains to end papers. Appreciable shelf wear to wrapper (see scans), previous repairs made to inside bottom edge and front inner hinge with Sellotape, 3cm by 3cm chip to head of spine, 2.5cm closed tear to front panel, 1cm closed tear to back, now protected by acid-free archive film, price not clipped.
