"A personal and political attack on Foster, by a Socialist Labor Party leader, who reviews Foster's early apprenticeship in social-democratic reform, his change to anarcho-syndicalism, his support of World War I, and his subsequent career in the communist movement, where he has successfully negotiated all the switch-backs in the Party line" (SEIDMAN P115).
