It was revealed at a time when British diplomats were calling for such craft to be banned internationally? As such the craft was quietly removed from the Royal Navy's fleet, ironically at a time when other nations (US, France, Japan, Germany) were starting construction of similar boats, in fact the Germans had a project, the Type X1 U-boat!!. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
