Frontis., x, 284 pp., b&w plates throughout. CONDITION: Very good, slightly rubbed, scuff mark in lower section of cover illustration, light horizontal crease to back cover, very slight nick (possibly worming) to fore-edge of first few leaves but text unaffected; nice, bright, tight copy. First edition, first printing. A lovely copy of perhaps the most desirable work by one of the towering figures in the conservation movement.
