Translated from the German for the first time by H.T. Lowe-Porter. This is the second in Mann's four volume exposition of the biblical story of Joseph. First published in America in 1935, this is the second printing after the two printings before publication. Publisher's full black cloth, gilt lettering and borders on spine, blind-stamped lettering and borders on cover, printed Borzoi endpapers. Title pages in red and black.. Former owner's printed bookplate on fep, small old bookseller's label on rep, else fine; otherwise unmarked, tight, square, and clean. VERY GOOD. . Joseph and His Brothers Series.
