Paris: Editions des Chroniques du Jour, 1929. Book. Very good- condition. Paperback. Signed by Author(s). First Edition. Quarto (4to). 32 pages of text, followed by 32 plates and [iii] pages listing the plates, etc. Original paperback with minor shelfwear and soiling, except for the spine, which is chipped at the extremities and is cracked and separating. The binding is protected in custom stiff archival mylar, and the spine title is clear and legible. Signed and inscribed on the front endpaper "To Alma and Horace Levinson whith [with] all my affection [signed] O. Zadkine 22 July 1931." Number 139 of 460 published. A few pages have minor soiling to the margins. The text is clean and unmarked. Alma P. [Wells] Levinson was well known in artist circles, and her work was exhibited in both the United States and Europe. Dr. Horace C. Levinson, an Astronomer, corresponded with Albert Einstein, which led to an alternate derivation (Einstein and Infeld 1949). First edition..
