About This Item
Woodbury, NJ: G.G. Green, 1909. Wraps. Good. 6-3/4 x 9" stapled chromolithographed wraps. 32 pages exclusive of the covers, illustrated throughout in b/w. Wraps a bit soiled, rubbed, many pages dog-eared, p. 1 with a short tear and a chip out, a few instances of contemporaneous notes internally. This issue an oddity, with "1910" stamped over the printed date of 1909 on the cover. GREEN'S ALMANAC, the brain-child of patent medicine entrepreneur and Civil War surgeon George Gill Green, was first issued in 1878 and was eventually distributed world-wide; it was produced until 1916. This copy presented by Hamilton's Pharmacy, Bull and 39th Sts., Savannah, Ga.
