(London): Hodder and Stoughton, (1943). First edition thus: first UK photoplay edition in dust jacket with stylized photo of Bette Davis in the Warner Brothers production on front panel. 12mo flexible orange cloth boards with black lettering to spine and blindstamped rule and design on front cover and spine. Extra-illustrated with clippings from BBC2 guide for television airings of the film January 1994 and December 1996. Name and address on pastedown (under dust jacket flap). Good or better with pen mark on rear cover and spine ends bleached from sun. In somewhat tattered and rubbed dust jacket with chipping at spine ends affecting publisher's name at bottom (only "and" remains) but otherwise complete. Rare UK photoplay edition.
