About This Item

Original 1898 Hardcover 94 pp. Ex library. NO writing in text. Fading on cover. A study both spiritual, physical, weaponry, cultural of the Carolingian Chanson De Geste of Aymeri of Narbonne. Discussion. Outline of the story, the food, the clothing. weapons. This was the tale that some believed was a Jewish descendant of the line of David Melech or King David who indeed was living in Baghdad and Charlemagne or Louis the Pious brought to Visigothic and Muslim Narbonne. While Apocryphal there is truth to the back story. Here is a American Nineteenth 1898 century study of that epic. Some discoloration on boards and library marking but tight and complete. Rare.
